We create ourselves through people we know, who surround us. The sum of these meetings, relationships, and an open heart, allows us to be better." The sculpture entitled "Self-Portraits" is an attempt at artistic reflection on my own consciousness. It is a metaphor used to express the stream of thoughts, define their source, character, and contexts in which they appear. Focus and mindfulness made it possible to silence the loudest of them and notice the presence of these, which were quiet, but deeper and more meaningful.I started to create a synthesis of the thoughts, a selection.
From the early childhood, we learn from each other, we coexist and influence each other. We see this impact, both in micro-communities and on a global scale. The sculptural work entitled "Self-portraits" was created from about 300 portraits of people who are close to me. It is a visualization of the process that goes on and on, when I meet new, inspiring people, a new understanding forms itself in my mind. As we can see, the faces appear in the center of the sculpture and the closer to the edge of the sphere, the more they blur to become part of the transformation process again... the process from which, perhaps, more faces will emerge ...Sometimes I absorb the value system from the closest people, sometimes just the way I talk or behave. The work I created was to transcend my own person, to express something much more important - the process of building a human personality.Maybe it will provoke your own thoughts on this topic?
In the faces of people around me, I see joys, sorrows, fears (which are like my own emotions). We share all this, consciously. We influence each other all the time. We are connected by energy that exceeds current scientific and biological knowledge.EMPATHY. It is a force that allows you to sympathize without words.By learning from others, let us create the best possible version of ourselves.Let us not forget to appreciate the experiences that happen to us. Let us also not forget to treat ourselves with respect, sensitivity, and calm understanding.
