1986年毕业留校任教于中央工艺美术学院装饰艺术系，现为清华大学美术学院工艺美术系教授。历任“中国美术家协会漆画艺术委员会”副秘书长、副主任等职务。在20年中担任四届五年一次的全国美术作品展览初、复评评委及国家美术奖评委；担任第一届中国美术家协会漆画艺术委员会副秘书长、第二、三届中国美术家协会漆画艺术委员会副主任职务至今。
作品入选国家级画展6次和全国美展铜奖、优秀奖各1次，其他省部级展览获奖6次。从1992年至今举办个人展览28场，作品参加省部级画展49次。承担过国家重点工程大兴国际机场贵宾厅漆壁画"西子瑞鹤图"的设计及外交部驻外使馆艺术品设计制作；21幅作品被中国美术馆及国内省级美术馆、韩国统营漆美术馆、大邱大学美术馆、吉尔吉斯美术馆、法国卡迪亚画廊等收藏。

Cheng Xiangjun graduated from the Department of Decorative Arts, the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, in 1986. Recently, he is a professor in the Department of Arts and Crafts, the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University. Cheng Xiangjun has served as the deputy secretary-general and the deputy director of the Lacquer Painting Art Committee of the China Artists Association. In the past 20 years, he has been a member of the jury for four five-yearly National Art Exhibitions and a member of the jury for the National Art Award; he was the deputy secretary-general of the first Lacquer Painting Art Committee of the China Artists' Association and the deputy director of the second and third Lacquer Painting Art Committee of the China Artists' Association.
Cheng Xiangjun's works have been selected for six national exhibitions and won one bronze medal, and one excellence medal in the National Art Exhibition and six awards in other provincial and ministerial exhibitions. Since 1992, he has held 28 solo exhibitions and participated in 49 provincial and ministerial exhibitions. Cheng Xiangjun has undertaken the lacquer mural "Xizi Ruihe" design in the VIP lounge of Daxing International Airport and the design of artworks for the Foreign Ministry's embassies abroad. In total, twenty-one works of Cheng Xiangjun were collected by the National Art Museum of China and provincial art museums in China and the Dongying Lacquer Museum in Korea, the Daegu University Art Museum, Kyrgyz Art Museum the Cadia Gallery in France.

Cheng Xiangjun se graduó en el Departamento de Artes Decorativas de la Academia Central de Artes y Oficios en 1986, y posteriormente trabajaba allí como profesor. Actualmente, es catedrático del Departamento de Artes y Oficios de la Academia de Artes y Diseño de la Universidad de Tsinghua. Cheng Xiangjun ha sido vicesecretario general y subdirector del Comité de Arte de Pintura de Laca de la Asociación de Artistas de China. En los últimos 20 años, ha sido miembro del jurado de 4 ediciones de la Exposición Nacional de Arte, la cual se celebra cada cinco años, y miembro del jurado del Premio Nacional de Arte. Fue vicesecretario general del primer Comité de Arte de Pintura de Laca de la Asociación de Artistas de China y el subdirector del segundo y tercer Comité de Arte de Pintura de Laca de la Asociación de Artistas de China, y sigue siéndolo hasta ahora.
Las obras de Cheng Xiangjun han sido seleccionadas para seis exposiciones nacionales y han ganado una medalla de bronce y premio de excelencia en la Exposición Nacional de Arte y seis premios en otras exposiciones a nivel provincial y ministerial. Desde 1992, ha realizado 28 exposiciones individuales y ha participado en 49 exposiciones provinciales y ministeriales. Cheng Xiangjun ha realizado el diseño del mural de laca "Xizi Ruihe" en la sala VIP del Aeropuerto Internacional de Daxing y el diseño de obras de arte para las embajadas del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores. En total, 21 obras de Cheng Xiangjun han sido coleccionadas por el Museo Nacional de Arte de China y los museos de arte provinciales de China, así como por el Museo de la Laca de Dongying en Corea, el Museo de Arte de la Universidad de Daegu, el Museo de Arte de Kirguistán y la Galería Cadia en Francia.
