Motto


In my works, I refer to my concepts as a safe place and utopia. The term “safe place” comes from my own artistic practice, and I define it in the space of sculpture and performance. This research is aimed at the study of the phenomenon of site contemplation with particular attention given to the issue of site (in situ).

 

By the conceptual apparatus of the “safe place” I mean a specific state of equilibrium. On the one hand, we may perceive it as the pursuit for optimization, on the other one - it is a continuous pursuit for a change. The notion of breath is in some sense a comparable phenomenon. The nature of breath consists in its duration, yet without the possibility of “departure and return”, it disappears. I re-define in this sense the colloquial understanding of the concept of safety, squeezed in one range and understood as something permanent. No matter how we choose to define the concept of a place, from a human perspective, a man will always be the correlate binding the whole. 

艺术理念


我的创作主要围绕“安全场所与乌托邦”概念展开。 “安全场所”一词来自我本人的艺术实践,我把它定义在雕塑和表演的空间里。 这项研究的目的是研究场地沉思现象,并特别注意场地问题。  

 

我所说的“安全场所”的概念装置是指一种特定的平衡状态。 一方面,它是对最优化的追求,另一方面,它也是对变化的持续追求。 在某种程度上说,呼吸现象也与之类似:呼吸的本质在于它的持续时间,然而呼吸没有“离开和返回”的可能性,它是会消失的。 进而我重新界定了安全的通俗意义:即压缩在一个范围内,并被理解为某种永久的东西。 无论我们如何定义某个场所,从人类的角度来看,个体永远是联系整体的纽带。
