1974年生于河北保定；1997年毕业于天津美术学院雕塑系。雕塑家、当代艺术家，涉及领域涵盖：雕塑、装置、绘画、影像及展览策划等；多以创作具有东方性精神与社会现实介入性的作品。现任天津美术学院雕塑系主任、教授、研究生导师；中国美术家协会雕塑艺委会委员；中国文化产业促进会公共艺术委员会副会长；中国雕塑学会常务理事、展览部长；中国工艺美术学会雕塑专业委员会副会长等。谭勋的作品曾展出于美国克利夫兰州立大学美术馆、美国田纳西州立大学美术馆、德国比德尔斯多夫市卡尔舒特艺术中心、德国波恩当代艺术中心、意大利威尼斯米歇尔宫、意大利博洛尼亚Magi900博物馆等知名美术场馆。作品被中国、瑞典、美国、加拿大、意大利、瑞士等国的艺术机构及私人收藏。

Tan Xun nació en 1974 en Baoding, provincia de Hebei, China. Se graduó en el Departamento de Escultura de la Academia de las Bellas Artes de Tianjin en 1997. Es escultor y artista contemporáneo, y abarca los campos de la escultura, la instalación, la pintura, el vídeo y es curador de exposiciones, etc. Principalmente crea obras con el espíritu oriental y la intervención en la realidad social. Tan Xun was born in 1974 in Baoding, Hebei Province, China. He graduated from the Sculpture Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1997. Tan Xun is a contemporary sculptor, an artist, and a curator interested in orientalism and social reality intervention; his working fields cover sculpture, installation, painting, and video art. Currently, he is the director of the sculpture department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, a professor, and a postgraduate tutor, a member of the sculpture art committee of China Artists Association, the vice president of the public art committee of China Culture Industry Promotion Association, the executive director and exhibition minister of China Sculpture Society, the vice president of the professional sculpture committee of China Arts and Crafts Society.

创作理念
在飞速变迁快速发展的中国临时建筑材料“彩钢板”被广泛应用。2017年末，艺术家谭勋利用废旧的彩钢板创造性地制作了第一件以其为材料的“彩钢石”作品，命名《彩虹》。此后，艺术家以“彩钢板”为线索调研了中国各线城市的发展现状，并将其延伸为一个更加庞大的《彩虹中国计划》，数十块“彩钢石”以当代艺术的姿态穿行于中国各大城市之中。《彩虹中国计划》可以看做艺术家谭勋在自我创作逻辑基础上的又一次跨越式转型，通过当代艺术的介入方式，对同样“跃迁”式发展的中国社会做出的积极回应。由此，该作品既是中国现代化、城市化进程的物证，也是改革开放四十年来中国社会飞速发展的精神纪念碑。
A finales de 2017, el artista Tan Xun creó su primera obra en placas de acero coloreadas, llamada "Arco Iris", a partir de placas de acero de colores usadas, que se utilizan ampliamente como material de construcción temporal en la sociedad china de rápido cambio y desarrollo. Desde entonces, el artista ha utilizado las placas de acero de colores como pista para investigar el estado de desarrollo de varias ciudades de China, para constituir un proyecto titulado “Rainbow China”, donde docenas de estas placas viajan por las principales ciudades de China en forma de arte contemporáneo. El "Proyecto Rainbow China" puede verse como otro salto adelante en la lógica creativa del artista Tan Xun, una respuesta positiva al desarrollo en forma de "salto" de la sociedad china a través de intervenciones de arte contemporáneo. De este modo, la obra es tanto una prueba física del proceso de modernización y urbanización de China, como un monumento espiritual al rápido desarrollo de la sociedad china en los últimos cuarenta años desde "la reforma y apertura".
In late 2017, artist Tan Xun created his first work of colorful steel stone, named "Rainbow", out of used colorful steel plates, which are widely used as a temporary construction material in China's fast-changing and developing society. Since then, the artist has used the colorful steel plates as a clue to research the development status of various cities in China and extended it into a more significant "Rainbow China Project", in which dozens of colorful steel stones travel through major cities in China in the form of contemporary art. The Rainbow China Project can be seen as another leap forward in the artist Tan Xun's creative logic, a positive response to the equally "leapfrog" development of Chinese society through contemporary art interventions. In this way, the work is both physical evidence of China's modernization and urbanization process and a spiritual monument to the rapid development of Chinese society over the past forty years of reform and emancipation.

当下基于模拟思维的互联网世界笼罩着我们的生活，这个虚拟世界甚至有取代现实的势头，也对究竟何为真正的实在提出了终极质疑。艺术家谭勋基于这样的现实情境，以真实地貌为依据，创作了系列作品“谷地地理计划”。该作品通过一款基于谷歌地球API开发的应用软件——谷地地理技术，以及3D打印数字技术的运用，对人与世界的定位、坐标、存在及虚拟、现实、实在之间的多重关系提供出一个新的感知路径。艺术家因而运用这样的多元创作手段行走于世界各地，通过不断地介入与转译，提供出全新的观看视角。
El actual mundo de Internet, basado en el pensamiento analógico, envuelve nuestras vidas, y este mundo virtual está incluso sustituyendo a la realidad, lo que también plantea la cuestión última de qué es la realidad. Partiendo de esta realidad, el artista Tan Xun ha creado la serie "Proyecto Geografía del Valle", basada en paisajes reales. Mediante el uso de la aplicación basada en la API de Google Earth, Google Geography, y la tecnología digital de impresión en 3D, esta obra proporciona una nueva vía perceptiva para las múltiples relaciones entre el posicionamiento humano y el mundo, las coordenadas, la existencia y lo virtual, lo real y lo actual. El artista utiliza así esos múltiples medios creativos para viajar por el mundo, ofreciendo una nueva perspectiva a través de la intervención y la traducción constantes.
The current Internet world based on analog thinking envelops our lives, and this virtual world is replacing reality, which also raises the ultimate question of the definition of reality. Based on this reality, artist Tan Xun has created the series "Valley Geography Project" based on natural landscapes. Through Google Earth API-based application, Google Geography, and 3D printing digital technology, this work provides a new perceptual path for the multiple relationships between human and world positioning, coordinates, existence, and the virtual, accurate, and actual. The artist thus uses such multiple creative means to travel around the world, offering a new perspective of viewing through constant intervention and translation.
