《红荷湿地》系列组画是2007年10月底我带研究生到山东微山湖畔的记忆写生。微山湖湿地千里漂荷，气势磅礴！舟行湖中感慨万千！深秋的残荷虽失去了盛夏的美妙靓丽，但更具有丰富的联想语境和诗情画意。“荷”极具中国文化艺术特质和人文气息，已是成为中国的文化符号。在颂扬出淤泥而不染的神圣纯洁精神同时演练绘画点线面多种语言关系表现力的可能性。我在微山湖写生创作了一组《红河湿地》综合材料绘画作品之后，至今意犹未尽强烈的感受回味无穷又创作了《红河湿地的记忆》系列组画。这种记忆写生的情趣、联想和丰富的绘画语言关系转换对画家是极具挑战性的。我非常喜欢这种人文气息的主题和画面中可寻觅某种“物质感的绘画”。在绘画语言关系转换中实现画面语言秩序的重组，反应绘画演变发展的时代精神。绘画不是文学的叙事和意识形态的图解，不是告诉你我画了什么去教育谁。绘画是视觉的审美愉悦，色彩物质感的趣味游戏，敏锐细腻丰富色感随精湛技艺传达的享受，诗情画意联想的精神诉求。

La serie de pinturas "Humedal del loto rojo" de Zhang Yuan es un boceto de memoria de la visita a las orillas del lago Weishan, en la provincia de Shandong, a finales de octubre de 2007. El humedal del lago Weishan es majestuoso, con miles de lotos flotantes. El artista describe el viaje como una experiencia muy emotiva: "¡El paseo en barco por el lago estuvo lleno de emociones! Aunque el loto a finales de otoño ha perdido la belleza del verano, tiene un rico contexto de asociación y poesía". El loto se ha convertido en un símbolo cultural de China por sus cualidades artísticas y su atmósfera humanista. Al mismo tiempo que celebraba el espíritu sagrado y puro del loto, Zhang Yuan también practicaba las posibilidades del poder expresivo de la relación entre el punto, la línea y los múltiples lenguajes de la pintura. Después de crear una serie de pinturas de técnica mixta "Humedal del Río Rojo" en el lago Weishan, seguía teniendo fuertes sentimientos y recuerdos y comenzó una nueva serie de pinturas "Memoria del Humedal del Río Rojo". Este tipo de interés por el boceto de la memoria, la asociación y la rica transformación de la relación del lenguaje pictórico es un reto para el pintor. A Zhang Yuan le gusta este tipo de tema humanista y la "pintura materialista" que se encuentra en el cuadro. La reorganización del orden lingüístico del cuadro se realiza en la transformación de la relación lingüística de la pintura, reflejando el espíritu de la época en la evolución de un cuadro. La pintura no es una narración literaria ni una ilustración ideológica, no es una forma de contar una historia, explicar la visualización de un concepto o educar a alguien. La pintura es un placer estético visual, un divertido juego de color y sentido material, un placer transmitido por un sentido del color agudo, delicado y rico con una habilidad exquisita, y un atractivo espiritual de asociación poética y pictórica.

Zhang Yuan's "Red Lotus Wetland" series of paintings is a memory sketch of the visit to the shores of Weishan Lake in Shandong Province at the end of October 2007. Weishan Lake wetland is majestic with thousands of miles of floating lotus. The artist describes the trip as a very emotional experience; "The boat ride in the lake was full of emotions! Although the lotus in late autumn has lost the beauty of summer, it has a rich context of association and poetry.". The lotus has become a cultural symbol of China because of its artistic qualities and humanistic atmosphere. While celebrating the sacred and pure spirit of the lotus, Zhang Yuan also practiced the possibilities of the expressive power of the relationship between point, line, and multiple languages in painting. After creating a set of "Red River Wetland" mixed media paintings in Weishan Lake, he still had strong feelings and memories and started a new series of "Memory of Red River Wetland" paintings. This kind of memory sketching interest, association, and rich painting language relationship transformation is challenging for the painter. Zhang Yuan likes this kind of humanistic theme and the "materialistic painting" found in the picture. The reorganization of the picture's linguistic order is realized in the linguistic relationship's transformation of painting, reflecting the spirit of the times in the evolution of a painting. Painting is not a literary narrative or an ideological illustration, not a way to tell a story, explain the concept's visualization, or educate someone. Painting is a visual aesthetic pleasure, a fun game of color and material sense, a pleasure conveyed by a sharp, delicate, rich color sense with exquisite skills, and a spiritual appeal of poetic and pictorial association.
