材料的物性具有很多层面，材料本身的色彩肌理的视觉呈现，深层的隐喻性，社会的关联性等。我用干燥剂为媒材，像做雕塑一样的去塑造半身像，将造型简化，模糊五官，使其具有一种象征性和纪念式。这是有关当代人的塑像，是日常生活中茫碌的众生相。在商品极度泛滥的社会中，人们通过商品来包装自己，满足各种欲望。
干燥剂和子母扣都是属于现代商品的附属品，一次性产品，具有典型的现代工业特征。以收集现成品材料造相，使作品展现出一种文物陈列般的效果，借用中国汉代马雕塑为原型，因其在艺术上具有粗犷豪放、浪漫洒脱之特点，有一种震撼人心的力量。在造型上常常表现为“马豹身躯，圆浑雄壮”的动静结合之美。借中国传统太湖石造型表达在当下环境下对传统与自然的思考。当观者走近时，内置光源随声而动照亮作品。作品表面附着的大量白色子母扣借内置光源的发散具有一定的导光作用。将材料的特性融于造型结构中，干燥剂的肌理在声控光的作用下若隐若现，使作品呈现出一种精神内涵，具有寓意和象征性。
科技的不断发展进步，城市化进程的高歌猛进，物质的泛滥使我们容易随时代的洪流而迷失自我，变成被物质趋动的人。快餐式的文化和对商品的过度依赖，对自然环境与人文环境的破坏日趋严重，愿在生活中多一些返璞归真的自然与和谐。
作品《相非像系列》外层材料是干燥剂和塑料子母扣，内部是金属骨架结构，内置有声控感应灯光系统。干燥剂也称防腐剂，具有防潮防腐功能。用干燥剂一片片连接，塑造半身像、汉马造型、山石造型，模糊所有无关的细节。借用的是汉代帝制墓葬的"金缕玉衣"的形式，金缕玉衣是帝王的规格，有很强的功能与象征性（古人认为玉能防腐）这与干燥剂的功能一致。干燥剂系列代表一种模糊的人与人，人与物的关系属性。在快速构架信息与认知的时代，所有的人与物、人与人的关系，都变得更密切又疏离，也许终将再也没有任何不朽的价值。

El material exterior de las estatuas re-esculpidas de Wang Jian está hecho de bolsas secantes e hilo de plástico. Además, toma la forma del "traje de jade" de las tumbas imperiales de la dinastía Han.
