作品“蒲公英”是作者以竹签为原材料创作的系列作品中的其中之一， 是这个系列作品的第三件作品。众所周知，在竹子在中国资源丰富，在中国的历史记载中， 更是一度融入进人们生活的方方面面，比如被制作成竹简、 竹纸、生活用品以及家具等等。 然而，时至今日，竹制物品却已经边缘化了。
现在工业化生产充斥着生活的各个角落，人们逐渐意识到工业生产对环境的伤害，也厌倦了工业制品的冷漠——大量复制，缺乏个性。 作者希望，通过这个作品让人们重新发现手工与自然材质的价值。 整个制作是， 纯手工将竹签相互穿插咬合，无附加任何连接方式辅助而成型。这是一个人与材料沟通的过程， 是一个自然材料以自然的方式成为一件作品的过程，随着这个过程，反映出工艺的痕迹。在这个快节奏的时代，人们需要静下心慢慢体会身边的东西。是作者创作“蒲公英”最大的初衷。
在研究竹子这个材料的过程中， 作者发现竹材的“轻”是它区别于木头或其他材料的一个很重要的特点。而且众所周知，用“轻”去表现一个实体材料是一件非常困难的事情。作品《蒲公英》的灵感其实来源于制作《竹签沙发》的过程， 作者使用了不同的工具对竹签进行敲击，用木头敲打时，木头被击碎了，换用金属敲击时，竹签呈现出了纤维状。 作者发觉这是竹材料的一个属性，也是一种能够表达“轻”的特质的方式，而这种纤维状的竹签刚好与蒲公英的轻盈感吻合在了一起。因此， 作者借助人们所熟悉的蒲公英来做了一个这样的作品。

La obra "Diente de león" forma parte de la "Serie de palos de bambú" creada por Yang Gao con palos de bambú como material, y es la tercera obra de esta serie. Como es sabido, el bambú es un tipo de planta muy extendida en toda China. Según los registros históricos chinos, el bambú se integró en la vida de la gente, como las tablillas de bambú, el papel de bambú, las necesidades diarias, los muebles y otros equipos. Sin embargo, hoy en día, los productos de bambú han sido marginados.
Hoy en día, la producción industrial rodea la vida. La gente se da cuenta poco a poco del daño que la producción industrial hace al medio ambiente y se cansa de la indiferencia de los productos industriales, de un gran número de copias y de la falta de personalidad. Yang Gao espera que, a través de esta obra, la gente pueda redescubrir el valor de lo hecho a mano y de los materiales naturales. Toda la producción son pinchos puramente manuales intercalados, ocluidos y formados sin ninguna conexión adicional. Es un proceso de comunicación entre una persona y el material, un proceso en el que los materiales naturales se convierten en una obra de forma natural, y junto a este proceso se reflejan las huellas de la artesanía. En esta época tan acelerada, la gente necesita calmarse y experimentar lentamente las cosas que le rodean. Por eso el artista creó el "Diente de León".
Gao Yang ha estudiado el bambú como material durante los últimos diez años. Es muy diferente de los materiales más convencionales, como el metal, la madera y otros materiales típicos. En comparación, el bambú es muy "ligero", el reto es cómo presentar esta ventaja a la gente. Mientras trabajaba en la construcción de un "sofá de palos de bambú", Yang Gao se dio cuenta de que la sección transversal del bambú era muy similar y podía compararse con las semillas de la cabeza del diente de león. The work "Dandelion" is one of the "Bamboo Stick Series" created by Yang Gao with bamboo sticks as materials, and it is the third work of this series. Nowadays, industrial production is around life. People gradually realize the harm of industrial production to the environment and get tired of the indifference of industrial products, a large number of copies, and a lack of personality. Yang Gao hoped that through this work, people could rediscover the value of handmade and natural materials. The whole production is purely manual skewers interspersed, occluded, and formed without any additional connection. It is a process of communication between a person and the material, a process of natural materials becoming a work naturally, and along with this process, the traces of craftsmanship are reflected. In this fast-paced era, people need to calm down and slowly experience things around them. That is why the artist created the "Dandelion".
Gao Yang has been studying bamboo as a material over the last ten years. It is very different from the more conventional materials such as metal, wood, and other typical materials. By comparison, bamboo is very "light", the challenge is how to present this advantage to people. While working on the construction of a "Bamboo Stick Sofa," Yang Gao noticed that the cross-section of the bamboo was very similar and could be compared to the seeds from the head of the Dandelion. As it is known, the Dandelion is a plant with beautiful yellow flowers, its seed head which is a mass of gossamer-type tiny umbrellas, uses the wind because of its lightness to spread its seed. These flower characteristics inspired the artist to choose the dandelion seed to describe in the best possible way why bamboo is as light as its.
