Gao Yang es profesor y director del Departamento de Diseño de Productos para el Hogar de la Academia Central de Bellas Artes de China.
Las obras de Gao Yang han sido expuestas en eventos artísticos nacionales e internacionales como la Exposición de Jóvenes Artistas Art Cubicle Europe Five Cities en 2003; "DESIGN PACUS", Múnich, Alemania, en 2005; "IMM", Colonia, Alemania, en 2006; China Environmental Design Yearbook, China, en 2009; Feria del Mueble de Milán, Italia, en 2012. Sus obras han sido galardonadas con numerosos premios, entre ellos el segundo premio del concurso de VR "DETHLEFFS" de Alemania, en 2006; el premio Art Display Crystal Kylin Award The Art Display & Decoration Committee of China, en 2010; el premio Innovation Design Award for Traditional Skills "China Creates" Industrial Design Competition, China, en 2016; el premio Golden Pin Design Award Taiwan Design Center, TDC China, en 2019; el premio LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize, en 2020; el premio Maison & Objet Design Award China Product Design Furniture Gold prize, en 2021.

Gao Yang is a professor and head of the Department of Home Product Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts, China.
Gao Yang's works showcased in the national and international art events such as Art Cubicle Europe Five Cities Young Artists Exhibition in 2003; "DESIGN PACUS", Munich Germany in 2005; "IMM" cologne Germany in 2006; China Environmental Design Yearbook, China in 2009; Milan Furniture Fair, Italy, in 2012.
