鸿蒙，亦作“鸿濛”，是中华文明中关于世界起源说的重要部分。在中国文化中，在盘古开天辟地之前，世界是一团混沌的元气，这种自然的元气叫做鸿蒙。正是这个缘起，成为了中国文明史的发端。在这个本源中，孕育着生命和未来。作品运用了汉字“永字八法”的构造原理，来建构一个可以无限复制和重构的结构。这种结构在中国汉字、中国砖木结构的建筑等文化承载物中都可以看到。同时，作品《鸿蒙》的每个单体是依据现代医学蛋白质研究中的“苯环”构造而来，以此象征生命本源的物质性。作品中有云雾、有光、有生命的脉动，也有乌云滚滚。乌云，看似声势很大，但毕竟有光明。光明，像剑一样轻轻刺穿乌云，烟消云散。光明，不卑不亢，不增不减，从鸿蒙时代一直到今天，也一直到未来。

El Hongmeng es una parte esencial de la teoría del origen del mundo de la civilización china. La obra "Hongmeng" utiliza el principio de construcción del carácter chino "Yong Zi Ba Fa" para construir una estructura que puede reproducirse y reconstruirse infinitamente. Esta estructura es típica de los caracteres chinos, los edificios chinos de ladrillo y madera, y otros objetos tradicionales con evidentes rasgos culturales chinos. Al mismo tiempo, cada una de las unidades de la obra está construida basándose en el "anillo de benceno", una estructura descubierta por la investigación médica moderna sobre proteínas, que simboliza la materialidad del origen de la vida. En la obra hay luz y una pulsación vital, frente a la niebla y las nubes oscuras. Estas nubes parecen ser inquebrantables, pero al fin y al cabo hay luz. La luz, como una espada, atraviesa suavemente las nubes oscuras y dispersa el humo. Desde la época de Hongmeng hasta el día de hoy, y desde hoy hasta el futuro, la luz siempre perdurará.

At the same time, every single unit of the work is constructed based on the "benzene ring" in modern medical protein research, which symbolizes the materiality of the origin of life. There are light, the pulsation of life, and dark clouds in work. The dark clouds seem to be very powerful, but there is light after all. The light, like a sword, gently pierces through the dark clouds and disperses the smoke. From the age of Hongmeng until today to the future, the light will always last.
